Running Together, Thriving Together: TPG Teachers Unite for a 5K
When TPG teachers come together, it's always about more than just teaching, it’s about building a community. This year, that sense of connection and mutual support took to the streets of Ft. Myers as a group of TPG teachers and their Program Manager, Michael Segoviano, laced up their running shoes and tackled a 5K race together. More than just a run, this event symbolized the strength, resilience, and community that define the TPG experience. Many of the teachers had never run a race before, but together, they motivated one another and finished the race!
What made this 5K special was the shared experience. Teachers encouraged and motivated each other and found strength in knowing they weren’t alone. Running side by side mirrored their journey as international teachers: facing challenges, pushing boundaries, and thriving through teamwork.
After the run, teachers gathered to share stories, take photos, and reflect on their journey. The post-race celebration was filled with high-fives, hugs, and well-earned refreshments, making the experience even more memorable.
At its core, this 5K was a reminder that TPG is more than a program, it’s a community. Whether in the classroom or on the racecourse, TPG teachers lift each other up, celebrate each other's wins, and move forward together. And just like in teaching, the journey is just as important as the destination.
For those who missed this race, don’t worry—this is just the beginning. Who’s ready for the next run?
